Suspected diesel thieves arrested after 180 km/h chase

The police arrested two Polish men after a high speed chase on Monday. Both men are suspected of diesel theft. The 50 year old driver is also accused of dangerous driving. According to the police, the 50 year old man drove at speeds of around 180 km/h, ignored red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road. He is also listed in the search register and must be extradited to Poland. The man's driver's license has been confiscated. In the back seat of the car the police found a large barrel, like the sort often used in fuel thefts. The barrel smelled of diesel. Several car parts were also found in the trunk of the car. The police are investigating the origin of these parts.
