Bullets strike government building windows

The police are investigating a shooting incident at a municipal building in Coevorden. An employee at the municipality noticed two holes in a window near the entrance of the building and notified the police. The holes were found in the old town hall on Aleida Kramersingel. The police immediately launched an investigation and has determined that the holes were indeed bullet holes. A number of bullets were also found. The police have done a trace evidence investigation in and around the building and have started with a neighborhood investigation. According to RTV Drenthe, the municipality of Coevorden handed the old town hall over to developer Peter van Dijk in 2013. There are currently 130 municipal employees working in the building.
