Cop abused by Ajax players files damage claim

The police officer who was assaulted by three Ajax youth players, has filed a damage claim, her law firm Schut/Oostig from Assen announced on Thursday, RTL reports. The three boys assaulted the officer on Ouderkererdijk in Amsterdam on March 12th. The three suspects blocked the road so that her car could not get by. After the officer hooted her car horn several times, the suspects stormed her, pulled her out her car, threw her violently to the ground and ran off. The officer suffered a broken collarbone and several abrasions and bruises. According to the law firm, the requested compensation is not part of the criminal consequences. Apart from her injuries, the officer also suffered psychological damage, the lawyers say. "She is therefore entitled to compensation. We have already had 'early' contact with Ajax on this matter." Charges have been brought against one of the three players. The other two are no longer considered suspects. Ajax suspended the players after the assault.
