Rotterdam police hunting Feyenoord rioters

The public prosecutor's office in Rotterdam is leading a team of police investigators to find more people responsible for the riots that took place earlier this week in Rome. Police in Italy arrested at least 33 suspects, all of whom are supporters of Rotterdam football club Feyenoord. "A detective team from the Rotterdam Area is going to analyze the images and information for this purpose," police revealed in a statement. The team was in town to face AS Roma Thursday night. Fans are accused of destroying several historic sites in the capital city the night before and night of the Europa League match. "The collection of all possible information is necessary for this criminal investigation, but [it is] also of great importance for future matched here in the Netherlands," said Frank Paauw, area police chief for Rotterdam. Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb also pledged his support in any investigation. European football association UEFA said there was little they could do as the rioting was not in the vicinity of the football stadium.
