More bad weather Sunday; 750 damage reports Saturday

The code yellow weather warning is still in effect across parts of the Netherlands on Sunday with high winds expected to take their toll for a third straight day. Wind speeds of 90 km/h along the coast and 80 km/h inland are expected. At least 756 reports of storm damage were called into emergency services on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the Rotterdam area the hardest hit, according to data from alarmeringen.net. Emergency calls ranged from loose roofing, to high water with some reports of blocked roads and uprooted trees. Flights were also delayed at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. The Rotterdam-Rijnmond safety region handled 125 storm damage calls, with 46 coming from Rotterdam itself. Another 87 calls were fielded by the Utrecht district, with 13 calls coming from the city of Utrecht. Just under 70 calls were reported to Zuid-Holland Zuid. After Rotterdam, the second most emergency calls in any one city came from Amsterdam. There were 41 reports of storm damage in the Noord-Holland city. https://twitter.com/rancobogaard/status/553998169026351104
