Widow of slain mental health director in public appeal

The widow of the murdered mental health director Rob Zweekhorst made an appeal to the public to share any information that could lead to solving the murder on television on Saturday night. In EenVandaag she said that she and her children can find no rest until the case is solved. Zweekhorst was shot dead at his home in Berkel en Rodenrijs on January 1st while he was walking his dogs. The police did an extensive investigation, even taking into account that Zweekhorst may have been the victim of mistaken identity. In April the police disbanded the investigative team as the case reached a dead end. A smaller team is now working the case. Zweekhorst's wife asked the police to again pay attention to the case in the program Opsporing Verzocht. This can not be done as there is no new information. "I hope there is someone, who still has a shred of sympathy somewhere in his body", the widow said in her call. "Report it, anonymously if needed. Do what. So that my kids can get up and move on." A reward of 15 thousand euro has already been offered for the golden tip. According to the police the investigation is still ongoing. In the broadcast, crime journalist Peter R. de Vries suggested that a new team be allowed to look into the matter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1RirB7OfhE
