Leidschendam gun victim dies; two others shot in NL

The 28 year old man who was severely wounded in a shooting incident in Ledschendam on Wednesday, died of his injuries on Thursday. Two men were shot in seemingly unrelated incidents on Thursday. Police officers found the 28 year old man severely wounded on Gravin Maria avenue in Leidschendam on Wednesday after witnesses called the police. While the officers were able to talk to the victim at that time, his condition worsened very quickly. The victim was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, where he died of his injuries the next day. On Thursday morning at 00:50 am a 35 year old man from Olderbroek phoned the police and reported that he had been shot by an unknown man at a campsite in Epe. The victim stated that someone came to his door and shot him when he opened the door. The reason for the shooting is still under investigation. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in a stable condition. The police were able to get an initial statement from the victim and will question the man more extensively at a later stage. On Thursday afternoon at about 14:50 pm a man was wounded in a shooting incident in Rotterdam. The man was shot in the neck. The police are still investigating, but their initial picture of the incident is as follows: The victim was sitting in a parked car with two others. In the car a firearm was aimed at him, which he managed to push away. At that moment a gunman standing outside the car shot him in the neck. The three suspects fled the scene, leaving the victim behind. The victim was taken to the hospital.
