Resident wounded, shots fired at home invasion; Utrecht

At an attempted robbery in a home in Utrecht, police and robbers fired shots at each other, the police reports. One resident was lightly injured and brought to hospital, four others were unharmed. Police responded to a call from the home on the Vaalserberg, and came to the scene at around 00:45 on Sunday night. Officers discovered the robbers outside, and a shoot-out ensued. The robbers fled in a car. Police hunted the highways around Utrecht for the robbers. It is unclear if anything was stolen from the home.
