Police shoots escaped cow

Police in Amstelveen shot dead an escaped cow on Wednesday afternoon, claiming that that the animal was a danger to the public. The cow had escaped a pasture and was walking around in a residential area. Police spent several hours attempting to catch the animal, with little success. "When an officer was almost trampled by the cow and there were children near the animal, it was decided to shoot the cow dead", the police tells Dichtbij.nl. Several shots were fired to try and let the animal die as quickly and with as little suffering as possible. The carcass was then transported away with a cattle truck. https://twitter.com/Zoebes/status/456419858176290817
