Snow comes a-knocking this week

Winter weather will be blowing into the Netherlands this week. Weeronline.nl said today that the meteorological winter starts today and that temperature in the country will drop as of midweek,with a chance of snow on Friday.

The weather watchdog forecast that it will be dry until Wednesday and that Tuesday might be foggy. “An extraordinary cold front will find our country after Wednesday,” it said. Thursday will likely be dry with some sun, but the freeze will set in that night. By Friday there will be a harsh northwestern wind and the winter weather will have arrived officially.

“That northwestern wind will confirm that the winter has begun,” said weeronline.nl. It forecast that the weather will improve by the following weekend.

Weeronline.nl said the spring had already brought some snow here and there, but that it had not stayed long.
