Weekend Box Office Roundup: August 1-4, 2013

The month of August began with a major shift in the box office. Smurfs 2

The action-packed, superhero film starring Hugh Jackman made €253,575 over the weekend and €1,117,837 in two weeks.The second installment of Despicable Me fell two places from no. 2. The computer-animated 3D comedy film from Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment has so far made €5,451,792 on its 6th week. A new comer, The Heat, opened at no. 2 with a weekend gross of €274,869. Finally, Pacific Rim fell to no.5 from no.3, earning €1,149,781 on its third week. Netherlands’ Spijt! is now on its 7th week and has made a total of €2,463,990. The top 5 movies from August 1-4, 2013:
