Woman seriously injured in Rotterdam industrial site stabbing; Suspect arrested

A woman was seriously injured in a stabbing at an industrial site on Merseyweg in the Botlek area of Rotterdam on Tuesday morning. A 41-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested, police said.
Police and paramedics were dispatched at 8:36 a.m. after the woman was stabbed shortly after 8:30 a.m. A trauma team was flown to the scene by helicopter. It landed in a nearby field.
Police arrested one person. It is not known whether the suspect and the victim knew each other.
The woman suffered serious injuries, police said.
Employees from businesses at the industrial site were provided with support following the incident.
Detectives are investigating what led to the stabbing. Police have urged witnesses to come forward, as the circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear.
