Changeable weather to bring rain and sunshine to the Netherlands over the weekend
The weather across the Netherlands this weekend will be changeable, with periods of rain, cloud cover, and sunshine, though most of the daytime is expected to remain dry. Temperatures will stay relatively low for this time of year, according to the weeronline forecast.
Saturday started with cloud cover and rain, especially in the eastern part of the country, where showers will move eastward into Germany during the morning. Conditions are expected to improve afterward, with significant clearing. By the afternoon, sunshine will appear at intervals, although isolated showers remain possible.
Overnight into Sunday, conditions will be largely dry, except for a stray shower. Under partly clear skies, temperatures may drop close to freezing.
Sunday will likely begin with plenty of sunshine following a short night caused by the switch to daylight saving time. Temperatures are expected to reach around 10 degrees, similar to Saturday’s peak values and about 2 degrees below the long-term average. Clouds will increase later in the day, and the chance of rain will rise in the evening.
After the weekend, Monday is expected to be quite showery. On Tuesday, only an occasional shower is forecast. From Wednesday onward, mostly dry conditions are expected for several days, with daytime highs returning to around the seasonal average.
