Meta signs $27 billion AI cloud deal with Dutch company Nebius

Dutch AI cloud company Nebius has signed a 27 billion-dollar agreement with Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, to supply artificial intelligence infrastructure. The deal, valued at roughly 23.5 billion euros, expands Nebius’ role in providing large-scale AI computing capacity.

Nebius, which originated as a spin-off from the Russian technology firm Yandex and is headquartered in Amsterdam, will deliver 12 billion dollars worth of capacity across multiple sites starting in early 2027 under the five-year agreement. Meta has also committed to purchasing up to 15 billion dollars in additional computing capacity. Nebius intends to sell surplus capacity to external clients, with Meta acquiring the remainder.

“This agreement significantly strengthens our collaboration with Meta and underlines our position as a leading provider of AI cloud infrastructure,” Nebius said.

The deal builds on Nebius’ existing partnerships, including a multi-billion-dollar contract signed last year to supply AI infrastructure to Microsoft.
