78-year-old woman found dead in Eindhoven; 40-year-old man arrested

A 78-year-old woman was found dead Friday afternoon inside a house on Cantecleerstraat in Eindhoven, where she was discovered lying on the floor, Omroep Brabant reported. Police said they do not yet know the exact cause of death but suspect the case involves a “criminal act.”

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspected killing. According to police, he is not believed to be her partner.

According to Omroep Brabant, police received a report of a resuscitation attempt near the end of the afternoon.

“But the resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful,” police said.
