Masked teenagers robbed multiple kids of their Sint Maarten candy in Haarlem

A group of around 10 masked teenagers robbed several children of their Sint Maarten candy in Haarlem on Tuesday evening. They pushed the children to the ground. The kids sustained no injuries, but one was taken to the hospital for a checkup, the police told NH Nieuws.

The incidents happened around 8:00 p.m. in and around Engelandpark in Haarlem. The police received a report that a group of around 10 people had robbed the children of their candy.

“Some children were pushed to the ground,” the police spokesperson said. “They were not injured, but were in pain. One was therefore taken to the hospital for a checkup.”

On the citizens’ notification system, Burgernet, the police described the perpetrators as teenage boys of around 15 or 16 years old, wearing black clothing and skeleton masks.

The police checked the identification of several people in the neighborhood, but have made no arrests yet, waiting for the young victims’ parents to file a report.

The victims and their parents are naturally “extremely shocked,” the police said. “Victim support has been called in, and they will be filing a police report,” the spokesperson said.
