Woman killed in her home in Noord-Brabant town; Man, 35, arrested
A woman died in a “serious violent incident” in her home in the Noord-Brabant town of Vlijmen on Thursday evening, the police reported. Officers arrested a 35-year-old man from Uden as a suspect.
The police responded to the home on Parklaan at approximately 10:30 p.m. after neighbors reported that something was amiss in the house. Responding officers discovered the critically injured woman.
A trauma team was flown to the scene by helicopter. They treated the woman at the scene before rushing her to the hospital by ambulance. “At the hospital, it turned out that medical help was no longer of any use,” the Oost-Brabant police said on X. The woman had succumbed to her injuries.
The Uden man is in custody for questioning. The police are investigating his involvement in the woman’s death and whether and how they knew each other.
