Woman, 46, found dead in Noord-Brabant village; Ex arrested
The police found the body of a 46-year-old woman in her home in Wanroij, a village in Noord-Brabant, on Sunday afternoon. Officers arrested a 47-year-old man, the woman’s ex.
“Much is still unclear,” the Oost-Brabant police said on X. “We suspect a crime.” Officers placed white screens around the home and cordoned off the street. Forensic investigators were at the scene.
The arrested man is suspected of “involvement in the death of this woman,” a police spokesperson said to RTL Nieuws. He is from Wanroij, but was arrested about 60 kilometers away in Duiven.
The man is in custody for questioning, and the police are investigating what happened.
Coincidentally, another woman was also brutally killed in her home on another Molenstraat, this one in Hellevoetsluis. The police found the 61-year-old woman beheaded in her home. They arrested her son on the A4 highway. Sources told various Dutch media that he had his mother’s head in the car.
