The Netherlands is in for pleasant summer weather in the coming days. The north and northeast started Thursday with cloud cover and some showers, but by this afternoon, it will be dry everywhere with room for sunshine. And the next significant rainfall is only expected on Sunday, according to the KNMI.
Afternoon temperatures on Thursday will range between 19 degrees on the Wadden to 26 degrees locally in the south. The northwesterly wind will be weak to moderate. Tonight will remain mostly dry, and minimums will range from 10 degrees in the northeast to 15 degrees along the coast.
Friday morning will see sunny spells in the west and cloud cover with maybe some local rain in the east. By the afternoon, there will be sunny spells throughout the country. Maximums will range between 18 and 26, north to south, with a light to moderate northerly wind.
The weekend will be “sunny, dry, and summery warm” in the southern half of the country and cooler in the northern coastal area, the meteorological institute said. “From Sunday onward, isolated rain or thunderstorms are possible, especially in the east. However, it will remain dry in most places.”
