Lidl recalls Silvercrest cordless floor cleaner due to fire risk

Lidl has issued a recall for a cordless floor cleaner sold under its Silvercrest brand, citing a fire hazard caused by a manufacturing defect.

The retailer announced that the “Snoerloze harde Vloerenreiniger,” produced by the firm Kompernass, may pose a risk of catching fire.

The device carries article number 489178_2407 and has been available since April 21, 2025, in all Lidl stores and through the company’s online shop.

Kompernass urged all customers to stop using the floor cleaner immediately. The product can be returned to any Lidl branch. Consumers will receive a full refund, even if they no longer have the purchase receipt.
