Victims identified in fatal A18 crash near Gaanderen

Authorities have identified the victim killed in the early Saturday morning crash on the A18 as a 19-year-old man from Losser. Three others were injured in the accident, which involved two vehicles and occurred around 2:10 a.m. near Gaanderen in the municipality of Doetinchem.

A 20-year-old man from Haaksbergen, who was in the same car as the victim, sustained minor injuries. The other vehicle’s occupants, a 59-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman from Aalten, also suffered minor injuries.

Police worked through the night to investigate the cause of the crash and are asking witnesses to come forward.

The highway was closed for several hours between Doetinchem-Oost and Varsseveld but has since reopened.
