One dead, three injured in A18 accident near Gaanderen

A fatal accident occurred on the A18 highway early Saturday morning, resulting in one death and three injuries, according to police reports. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. The incident took place at approximately 2:10 a.m. near Gaanderen, in the municipality of Doetinchem.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims. A police spokesperson stated that investigators worked through the night to determine the cause of the accident.

The A18 has been closed between the Doetinchem-Oost and Varsseveld exits. Drivers heading toward Enschede are advised to detour via Zelhem on the N315.
