Third Dutch victim dies following Düsseldorf car crash

A third victim of the high-speed crash involving a Dutch car in Düsseldorf has died, according to German police. The crash, which occurred Saturday morning in the Golzheim district, has now claimed the lives of three Dutch nationals and left multiple others injured.

The most recent fatality is a 53-year-old woman who succumbed to her injuries in the hospital on Monday. She was a passenger in the car that overturned multiple times at a roundabout. The driver, a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 53-year-old male passenger also died later in the hospital.

German authorities suspect the crash was caused by a medical emergency involving the driver. The vehicle reportedly lost control at high speed, careened off the road, and overturned several times before coming to rest.

The impact of the crash scattered debris across the street and surrounding area. A 54-year-old man waiting at a bus stop was struck by flying wreckage. He remains in the hospital with severe injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident. The crash occurred on a busy traffic circle in northern Düsseldorf, approximately 50 kilometers from the Dutch border near Venlo.
