Odido expected to go public in IPO on Euronext Amsterdam
Telecom company Odido may be listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange. According to news agency Bloomberg, owners Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus are preparing for an IPO of the company, which also has subsidiary brands such as Simpel and Ben. According to sources, a valuation of up to 7 billion euros is being targeted.
The possible IPO of Odido on the Damrak should take place next year. According to the insiders, the two investment companies are busy approaching banks to guide this possible IPO.
It is also possible that Odido will be sold, the sources said. Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus declined to comment to Bloomberg. The investment companies acquired T-Mobile Netherlands from Deutsche Telekom in 2021, as well as the remaining stake of Swedish Tele2 in T-Mobile Netherlands for 5.1 billion euros.
T-Mobile Netherlands was renamed Odido in September last year. Odido has more than a hundred stores in the Netherlands and approximately 2000 employees. The telecom company has approximately 8 million customers.
An Odido spokesperson said he could not comment on Bloomberg's report, calling it "pure speculation" about the company's possible IPO in Amsterdam.
