Spanish police arrest Dutch fugitive wanted for murder
The Spanish police arrested a 36-year-old Dutchman in Melilla, a Spanish enclave in Morocco. The Dutchman is wanted in the Netherlands for murder and kidnapping, the Spanish authorities said on X.
The man was arrested when he tried to enter the Spanish enclave via the border crossing with Morocco.

According to the Spanish authorities, the Schengen Information System, on which Schengen member states exchange information about serious criminal cases, showed the arrest warrant against him. The man is accused of murder, deprivation of liberty, assault, and abduction, among other things.
The Dutchman is in custody, awaiting his extradition to the Netherlands.
