Four men arrested in drug raid in Diemen; one man seen hopping from balcony to balcony
The police arrested four suspects on Wednesday morning in an ongoing drug investigation in Diemen. A home on de Rode Kruislaan was searched by the police, in which they found drugs and cash. A suspect tried to flee and was wounded doing so.
Three of the suspects were arrested directly in the home. The fourth suspected fled the home, jumping from balcony to balcony, according to police. He threw several packages containing drugs in nearby ponds and bushes.
The man was arrested when he fell from the second floor and landed on the balcony of the floor below. The suspect was wounded during the fall and was transported to the hospital with accompaniment from the police. He has since been brought to the cells.
Two of the suspects, aged 21 and 35, live in Diemen. The two other suspects, 44 and 48, do not have permanent residence in the Netherlands.
The drug packages were taken out of the ponds and bushes and will be investigated.
