National Sinterklaas arrival will be in Vijfheerenlanden, Utrecht this year
The national arrival of Sinterklaas will happen during an event in Vijfheerenlanden this year. Broadcaster NTR announced on Thursday that the Utrecht municipality will host the event.
Sinterklaas will first appear on Saturday, November 16, in Vianen, which is part of Vijfheerenlanden. NTR will report on it live during a broadcast beginning at noon on NPO 3.
The Sinterklaasjournaal, a daily show about Sinterklaas and his Pieten, will start on Monday, November 11. The show will air daily at 6 p.m.
Vijfheerenlanden Mayor Sjors Fröhlich was very excited about the news. “We are proud that Sinterklaas will arrive in our municipality, especially because it is also our fifth anniversary this year,” Fröhlich added.
He called it an honor that Sinterklaas wants to celebrate his birthday in the municipality. “We will warmly welcome Sinterklaas in Vianen and show him why we are proud of what Vijfheerenlanden has to offer. It will be a great day.”
Sinterklaas’s arrival in 2023 took place in Gorinchem.
