Sunny and dry weather on last day of Pentecost long weekend

Pentecost Monday will be mostly sunny and dry throughout the Netherlands, though some veil clouds will form during the morning. Maximums will range between 14 degrees on the Wadden and 20 degrees in the southeast, the meteorological institute KNMI reported.

The wind will be moderate, sometimes quite strong along the west coast.

The rest of the week will look much the same as Monday, with sunshine mixing with clouds and little to no chance of rain.

Wednesday will be the sunniest and warmest day of the week, with maximums climbing to around 22 or 23 degrees. It will be cloudier and a bit cooler from Thursday, but maximums should hit 20 again in many places from Friday.

The dry weather is bad news for hay fever sufferers. It is peak pollen season in the Netherlands, and without rain to wash it out of the sky, people will hay fever will really feel their symptoms.
