Suspect denies raping women met on Tinder, Badoo
Stephan T., a 34-year-old man from Vlissingen accused of raping or sexually assaulting at least seven women met on dating sites like Tinder and Badoo, denies ever having nonconsensual sex. "I have never had sex with a woman who did not want it. I have never drugged a woman or given [a woman] drugs", he said in the court in Middelburg on Thursday, AD reports.
The man is charged with drugging, raping or sexually assaulting seven women. He came into contact with his victims through dating sites like Badoo and Tinder, and attacked them after one or more dates. The victims were handcuffed, assaulted, and brutally raped.
One of the victims suffered such serious injury that she had to undergo surgery. She can no longer have children and will be on medication for the rest of her life. The victim said that this man ruined her life forever. She and the other victims are demanding compensation from the man.
According to the suspect, he "always asked the women what they wanted". He also discussed tying them up with them, he said. "If a woman made it clear that she wanted to stop, I would stop."
The Public Prosecution Service expects that T. raped more women than the seven who came forward. T. is also charged with possession of hemp plants, stealing power, and scamming the network company.
