Dutch woman gang raped in Spain

A 25-year-old Dutch woman was gang raped in Spain over the weekend, she reported to the police. She is currently receiving psychological aid. "She is doing well medically, but it is a terrible event with great emotional impact", a police spokesperson said to the Telegraaf.

The woman has been living in Blanes on Costa Brava for several years. During an evening out on Saturday she met three men. They took her to an apartment in the center of Blanes, where she was raped multiple times, she told the police. On Sunday morning, she managed to get away. A neighbor found the half-naked and disoriented woman and called the police. She was then taken to a hospital in Calella.

The police arrested two 19-year-old suspects on Sunday morning. Both also live in Blanes. Later in the day, a 54-year-old man who lives in Arenys de Mar was also arrested. According to the Telegraaf, all three men are from Cuba. The suspects gave a statement and were released on Tuesday. Their passports were confiscated and they are not allowed to leave the country. Restraining orders were also issued against them - they are not allowed to come near the Dutch woman or try to contact her by phone or social media.
