Another shooting in Amsterdam Zuidoost, one hurt

A man was injured in a shooting on Dickenslaan in Amsterdam Zuidoost on Saturday night. He was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. No arrests have been made. The police are looking for witnesses.

The shooting happened at around 10:30 p.m. Responding officers found the injured victim on the sidewalk. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to hospital. The man was conscious and able to communicate with aid workers, but the severity of his injuries is unknown.

The police are investigating exactly what happened. Witnesses reported seeing a dark colored Volkswagen Golf drive away from the scene after the shooting. Investigators would like to talk to witnesses and make contact with anyone who may have surveillance camera footage of the incident.

Half an hour before the shooting on Dickenslaan, the police also received a report of shots being fired on Kelbergen. Despite extensive investigation at the scene, the police found no evidence that a shooting had actually taken place. No injuries were reported either. Investigators would like to make contact with anyone who can give more information about this incident.

The shooting on Dickenslaan was the second shooting in Amsterdam Zuidoost this past week. On Thursday, a man died in hospital after being shot on Hogevecht. On Sunday, a hand grenade was found in front of a home on Snodenhoekpark.
