Gelderland jeweler injured in armed robbery

A jeweler in Kesteren, Gelderland, was robbed by three armed people on Thursday morning. The owner of the jewelry store was injured. The police arrested one suspect, and launched a manhunt for the other two, the Telegraaf reports.

A bystander managed to grab one of the robbers when he came running out of the jewelry store, according to the newspaper. The police arrested the man. Multiple pieces of jewelry were found lying on the street.

The other two robbers fled on a scooter. They were wearing dark clothing.

A police helicopter is circling above Kesteren, looking for the two suspects, according to the Gelderlander. A Burgernet report was issued with the suspects' basic description. The suspects were last seen on Nedereindsestraat. The police urge anyone who encounter them not to take action themselves, but call the police.

The jeweler sustained a head injury in the robbery, but is doing well under the circumstances, according to the Telegraaf.
