Father arrested for briefly abducting son, 9, in Eindhoven

The police arrested a man on Wednesday for abducting his 9-year-old son from the child's mother in Eindhoven. The father loaded the child into a car and drove off with him, NU.nl reports.

Responding police officers found the car a short time later. Both father and son were inside the car. The father was arrested and taken to a police station for further investigation.

The boy was reunited with his mother. He is doing fine under the circumstances, according to the newspaper.

Due to the family's privacy, the police released no further details about the incident.
