Elevator with 14 people inside falls 6 floors at Groningen hospital

An elevator with 14 people inside fell six floors in the faculty building of the University Medical Center in Groningen on Thursday. One person was taken to the emergency room with unknown injuries, NU.nl reports.

Both staff members and UMCG students were in the elevator when it fell, the Medical Center and University of Groningen confirmed. The elevator got stuck on the sixth floor. It fell during work to solve this problem.

The other elevators in the building on Anthonius Deusinglaan have been shut down while the cause of this accident is investigated.
