Suspect arrested for Amsterdam rapper's murder

The police arrested a 20-year-old man from Amsterdam on Thursday for a fatal shooting in which 19-year-old rapper Bolle was killed on Wednesday afternoon. Whether the arrested man is suspected of being the gunman or of another role, is not yet clear, Het Parool reports.

Bolle, real name Gondilio, was gunned down in a building on Dolingadreef at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers found him critically injured on Dostojevskisingel. Attempts to help him were to no avail. He died at the scene.

The suspect is in restricted custody, which means he can only speak with his lawyer, and that the police can't release much information about the case.

According to the newspaper, Gondilo recorded several songs under his stage name Bolle. He and six friends formed the group Sevengang.
