Video: Dumped lion cub doing well; named Remy

The lion cub found dumped in a meadow in Tienhoven on Sunday, is doing well at Stichting Leeuw, the foundation said on Facebook. "Between all the hectic, the little one is entertaining himself well, eating and drinking well and still sleeping a lot", the foundation said. The foundation named the cub Remy.

On Wednesday the foundation's veterinarian will give Remy a thorough medical check-up, as well as his vaccinations. Remy can be "adopted" on the foundation's website from Tuesday. Those who adopt the lion cub won't be able to take him home with them, but can help pay for his care.

Team stichting leeuw Lion Cub Update Our little champ has had a good first night: he slept well and ate his first food. At the moment, we're giving him easily digestible food since we're not sure what he is used to. The first toys have also been received with gratitude. Stichting Leeuw Team
