Amsterdam police find 473 kilos of cocaine in delivery van

A 30-year-old man from Breda was arrested in Amsterdam on Tuesday after the police discovered 473 kilograms of cocaine in his delivery van. The drugs were found in a hidden compartment in the van. According to the police, the street value of the drugs is around 19 million euros.

Police officers pulled the van over on the A2 at Amsterdam for a traffic check. The loading space of the van was empty, but the officers noticed that it looked smaller than it should be. Further inspection revealed a double wall at the end of the loading space. Inside they found 473 packets of cocaine, each weighing 1 kilogram.

The man was arrested and is in custody for further investigation. He will be arraigned on Friday.
