Two Amsterdam criminals were arrested for murdering a Colombian couple in southern Spain in August 2016, Het Parool reports.

According to the newspaper, the criminals in question are 28-year-old Abdelhamid A. and 23-year-old Hicham M. Amsterdam man 23-year-old Mitchel Jansen was also a suspect in this double murder, but he was assassinated in Colombia at the end of 2016.

The double murder happened in Mijas, on the Costa del Sol in the Spanish province of Malaga. According to the newspaper, the murders were drug-related.

Abdelhamid A. was arrested in Spain along with a 36-year-old Norwegian also suspected in this crime. Hicham M. was arrested in his cell in the Netherlands. He is already in custody on suspicion of involvement in the assassinations of Eaneas Lomp in November 2015 in Krommenie and Chahid Yakhlaf in December 2015 in Kerkdriel. M. is also a suspect in an attempted murder on Nourdine A. in Amsterdam in April 2016.

The Spanish, Dutch and Norwegian police searched five homes along the Costa del Sol. They seized three firearms, ammunition, 1.5 kilograms of speed, a kilogram of hash, a cannabis plantation, an expensive car and multiple computers.
