Teen girl arrested for violent home invasion, assault

The police arrested a 17-year-old girl from Ingen in Gelderland on suspicion of involvement in a violent home invasion and assault in Lienden last year.

On January 26th, 2017 two men and a woman forced their way into the home of an elderly couple on Hofstede in Lienden. One resident was attacked with pepper spray and badly beaten. The perpetrators left without stealing anything.

Information received after Gelderland program BureauGLD broadcast details about this case led the police to the 17-year-old girl. She was arrested on Monday morning and released again after questioning. She is still considered a suspect, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.

The police are still looking for two male suspects.
