False Alarm: International train evacuated over "suspicious situation"
The police evacuated all passengers from a train stopped near Oldenzaal station over a "suspicious situation" on Thursday afternoon. The area around the station is closed down. Police officers, sniffer dogs, and the Koninklijke Marechaussee are at the scene to investigate exactly what is going on, the Oldenzaal police said on Twitter.
ProRail says that a threatening letter was found regarding the train - an international train from Amsterdam to Berlin, according to the rail manager. The police can not confirm this.
