Suspect in teen's assault arrested after seeking help at first aid station

A man suspected of assaulting a teenage girl at October fest in Sittard, was arrested after he went to a first aid post to get treatment for his hurt hand, RTL Nieuws reports.

The perpetrator and victim attended the festivities separately. At one point the 19-year-old man pushed the 17-year-old girl to the ground and kicked her in the head.

The girl and her friends went to the first aid post. While there, her attacker also showed up, asking that something be done about his hurt hand. The victim's friends recognized him and called the police.

The young man was arrested. Why he attacked the girl, or whether they know each other, is unclear.
