Tesla crashes into Bilthoven home during police chase

A Tesla crashed through the wall of a home on 1e Brandenburgerweg in Bilthoven during a police chase early on Friday morning. The home's facade sustained a lot of damage. The fire department is investigating the home to assess the risk of collapse, AD reports.

There were four people in the electric car. According to the police, the driver ignored instructions to pull over and there was a short chase. How the accident happened is still unclear. The police are investigating.

All four occupants of the car were 18-year-old boys, two from Bunnik and two from Utrecht. The driver does not have a license and was under the influence of alcohol, according to AD. Three of the boys were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. The driver was arrested.

The resident of the home was not injured.
