Rotterdam man suspected in rapper’s slaying arrested in Hungary

Police in Hungary arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with murder of Parsa Maboud. Maboud, better known as “Parsa010” was shot dead in the Ommoord district of Rotterdam while the 21-year-old was barbecuing food and entertaining friends on a lawn.

Maboud was shot once previously, when he was 17, and also served time in prison on a weapons charge.

Despite his past, it was rumored that suspects did not kill their intended victim. At the time of the incident authorities speculated that the shooting was a revenge for a drug deal gone awry.

The suspect was detained by Hungarian police at the request of Dutch authorities. Dutch officials have begun procedures to have the man extradited back to the Netherlands, according to police.

Police are still looking for information about two young men spotted at the scene of the crime. One is described as short and stocky, while the other is tall and thin. Both are light complected. Investigators also hope to speak with an anonymous tipster who identified one of the suspects as “chubby.”
