Police K9 unit squad car torched in aftermath of Amsterdam shooting
A police K9 unit squad car was set on fire in Bos en Lommer in Amsterdam on Thursday. The car was parked on Merlijnstraat, a few dozen meters away from where police officers were dealing with a shooting. A man was shot in the leg, AT5 reports.
"Luckily no people or dogs were in the car, no one was injured", the police said on Twitter. "Fire was quickly extinguished, but the perpetrators fled."
The police were in the area dealing with the aftermath of a shooting, in which one man was injured in his leg. Two perpetrators fled on a dark colored scooter.
Last week another cop car was set alight on Admiraal de Ruyterweg.
