Zaandam shooting suspect arrested in Amsterdam tunnel

The police chased down and arrested a suspect of a shooting in Zaandam on Friday in the Coen tunnel in Amsterdam. Two other suspects managed to escape and are still on the run, NU.nl reports.

The shooting happened on Dodonaeusstraat in Zaandam. No one was injured.

The suspects fled after the shooting and the police launched a manhunt. Their getaway car was spotted and eventually forced off the road in the Coen tunnel in Amsterdam. Two suspects managed to escape on foot. The third was arrested.

The police are still searching for the remaining two suspects.

The motive for the shooting is unclear.
