Bizarre accident with tractor, horse-drawn carriage, cyclist leaves several wounded

Several people were injured in an accident involving a tractor, a horse-drawn carriage and a bicycle in Nunspeet on Wednesday afternoon. One person was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, De Stentor reports.

The accident happened shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the crossing of Waterweg and Kolmansweg. Two ambulances are at the scene and a helicopter ambulance landed in a nearby meadow, according to the newspaper.

The helicopter ambulance was first dispatched at 2:03 p.m. At 2:15 p.m. a call was logged related to possible injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown. The carriage ended up on its side, according to local news site Veluweland.nl.

Exactly how many people were injured, and the extent of their injuries, is unclear.
