Amsterdam sex club raid: Police arrest five women on drug charges

The Amsterdam police arrested four women on drug charges during a raid on a sex club on Stadhouderskade in Amsterdam-Zuid on Sunday night. A fifth woman was arrested in Utrecht, the police said in a statement on Monday.

The five women, between the ages of 32 and 56 years, are all still in custody for questioning. The raid was a joint operation between the police forces Amsterdam and Midden-Nederland, the Public Prosecutor in Amsterdam and Midden-Nederland and the municipality of Amsterdam.

The raid started around 11:30 p.m. and lasted well into the early hours of Monday morning. According to Het Parool, the sex club involved is called Crystal Club. The front of the building was screened off during the raid.
