Man removing Christmas lights dies in fall from roof

A 75-year-old man died on Prins Hendrikstraat in Gouda on Tuesday after he fell from a roof. The police are still investigating exactly what happened, but believe that he was working on removing Christmas lights when he fell, the Telegraaf reports.

Bystanders could not reach the man to give first aid, because of a locked gate. An air ambulance responded to the scene, but it was to late to help the man. He died at the scene.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
