Martin Garrix wins two MTV Europe Music Awards

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix won two awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Rotterdam on Sunday night. He won in the categories Best Electronic and Best World Stage, NU.nl reports.

"It's unreal. I'm very happy" the Dutch DJ said after the award ceremony at Ahoy in Rotterdam on Sunday. The 20-year-old also won Best Electronic last year.

This was the 22nd eition of the MTV Europe Music Awards and the third time the awards ceremony was held in the Netherlands. The show was presented by singer Bebe Rexha. The various awards were hnded out by, among others, Idris Elba, Jaden Smith and Tinie Tempah.

All the awards handed out on Sunday were purple in honor of Prince, who died in April.
