Busy morning rush hour expected due to fog

Dutch motorists can expect a busy and difficult rush hour this morning due to thick fog in most of the country. Meteorological institute KNMI warns that visitibility may be down to 200 meters in some places.

A code yellow fog warning is currently in effect for all of the Netherlands except the three norther provinces and the Wadden islands. The fog should dissipate during the course of the morning.

"Hazardous conditions with poor visibillity", KNMI warns motorists. "Adjust speed and keep a safe distance. Fog can be treacherous through suddent onset. Follow weather forecasts and warning."
